If there’s a political statement hidden in here somewhere, you’re going to have to be more upfront about it. I can’t be asked to spend my precious free time deciphering a bunch of cryptic metaphors and obtuse visual representations of political ideologies. Step off your artistic high horse and make something straightforward that even dim-witted people can understand...!
No, all of that’s far too subtle. So there are words on the screen next to the pictures. Big whoop! How am I to know they’re related? You need to draw arrows from those words and point at what they represent. Are 1940s homemakers a part of our foreign policy? How am I to know without the arrows? You see, when you point out exactly what you’re trying to say, it leaves less up to interpretation. In fact, forget the images altogether. All that artsy nonsense clutters up the message.
What you need to do it type out in plain words exactly what you mean. Something like “I don’t like America’s foreign policy.” It’s direct, to the point, gets the idea across to simple folk like myself. The same kind of folks who don’t need to be spending quality hog-slaughtering time picking apart complicated metaphors when plain words will do just fine. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some alimony payments due and those damn grayhounds don’t bet on themselves. I learned that the hard way.
i see your point, but i dont really want to add that. I think i wasnt really going for a depressing political statemen. I made it at in like 30 mins at 3am. I see that you need more, but i think most people will just accept it as simple sarcasm. 50's ads were always so happy, even though lots of the things they were advertisng were so grimm...bomb shelters..."kill japs!"...and such. Whats that Billy? Did you ask "whats foreign policy?", you silly boy! This is Foreign policy! Thanks for the vote though.
