I love everything about pirates, or "hobos of the sea" as my little brother calls them. I was in The Pirates guild on a MUD (yeah, I know, I'm a nerd) for like, 2 rl years, and I don't pay for a damned thing, if I can help it. I drink rum like it's water, and I was a pirate one year for halloween before it was even cool because of this Pirates of the Caribbean thing. But enough about me, this ytmnd is awesome. Argh, matey.
5'd for greater justice. For those who don't know: The Pirate Bay is a torrent tracker located in Sweden whose servers were ceased by the swedish police without authorization because because MPAA had been pushing the Swedish justice department about it for a while. But fear not, it was up within two or three days after it was taken down. And later on a political party was started named The pirate party, and I think they got just a little less than 1% in the recent parliamental election :P... Long live TPB!
yeah you guys are the reason why EVERYONE has to deal with DRM, authentication, cd keys, and all sorts of other sh*t beacuse you pansys cant be bothered to pay a company or a artist that makes something YOU LIKE. How about supporting the artist who you like so he can continue to make good music, or support a game company so they can continue making good games. Illegal torrents should die.

Looks like someone couldn't understand torrents and cries because of it.
oh i understand torrents just fine. i have azureus installed on my computer. Except lets take a loot at piratebay real fast, search for windows.. oh hey. 30 pages of illegal windows torrents and cracks to install it on your computer without authenticating it. What im saying is because of you idiots downloading cds, operating systems video games and all this stuff without paying, everyone has to deal with crap like DRM, unnessary authentication, cd keys everywhere. Torrents is a great technology, but like
although i do see some stuff on the pirate bay, most of the stuff is illegal. Its sad to see such a great technology such as bittorrent to be ruined by illegal stuff. Sooner or later the pirate bay will go down, if the MPAA and other goverments push hard enough. And even though the "pirate party" does get like one seat in parliment, remember that is only ONE seat. somehow i dont think that will make a difference... anyways im done.
People have been getting assraped by many of these media companies for a long time. Nobody wants to buy/rent the latest movie only to find it blows goat chunks. I do agree people should pay for the good stuff (to support good work), but I absolutely refuse to pay for stuff I did not enjoy - and I absolutely refuse to pay 20$ for a CD to listen to a single song I like. +5 for pirate bay.
To those that think pirates are the problem; maybe if CDs didn't cost $20 a pop and have only one good song and PC games don't have copy protections that SUCK *SS (I had to No-CD Crack a game just to get it to run!), then maybe the pirating would stop. Hey, I warez stuff all the time, but I'll buy it if I like it enough. Also, you can't rent PC games anymore and demos just plain suck (in fact, some of them come with that burner-drive destroying "virus" called Starforce). Pirates will always be around!
