Did you know Jesus and Moses used guns to conquer the Romans? That leads me to beleive Jesus has a machine gun for a right hand. Also, optical implants that enabled him to see x-ray and infrared. People don't seem to like YTMND's that lack the funny. But what about the unfunny truth about scientology? It sparked the famous scientology-YTMND war. And, it is in the, what, top 10 rated right now? It is one of the, well, I wouldn't say "founding" YTMND's, but it is a YTMND that has shaped the community, but it isn't funny.

ALSO to some of the people posting-There are absolutely no first hand encounters of Jesus. The Bible was written about 3 generations after he might have died. You would think the Romans would have had records of this, since they kept records of everything. Also there is no Jewish tradition of sparing someone for that holiday; this is never mentioned anywhere outside the new testement. And There is no record of a census being taken where everyone had to return to their birth city. Sorry.
Just to clear up, I know that Hebrew goes backwards, and I know there are many attributions for the YHVH, IHVH, YHWH combinations. Despite the sophomoric level of content for this YTMND, I know an AWFUL lot about the subject. I was just trying to make a joke. It was stupid, it came to me in the shower one day, and I thought Captain Planet bursting forth from Jesus' tomb was hilarious.
At first, I was a bit iffy because of the whole beginning. While I'm an atheist, I'm just sick of the debate. But then, about halfway through, when you broke down God's name into the elements, I got interested, thinking that some sort of ancient Greek reference would come up. But...I was wrong, and happily so. 5'd for sheer awesomeness.
Aside from the bad sync and the spoiler in the title, nice job...but to add another suggestion;You know what would sound better than "Christian Propaganda" 4 times in a row? There's one word that already has virtually the same connotation...that you could use at least once to avoid the redunancy: Evangelism. But don't sweat the small stuff, I'm just nitpicking.
5'd. I'm Southern Baptist by the way. Religious debate should ALWAYS start with fact and reason, and then move into faith. Jesus is 'Joshua' rendered into Greek. Joshua is rooted in Jeheshua. Besides each letter's individual meaning, tha whole name means 'he who saves' 4 stars for facts. 5th star for Capt. Planet!

I'd just like to clear up that this has NOTHING TO DO with actual information or any form of historical accuracy or credibility. It was a huge build based on semi-truth just to get to the punchline. I've been getting a lot of PMs and comments from people who don't seem to understand this. I wasn't trying to educate America. I was just trying to cut as much fat as possible so I could get to the funny. The YTMND is already long enough as it is, for Christ's sake (lol).
As funny as that punch line is there are many people recorded with the name Jesus in that era. This does not mean that the name somehow stops holding that meaning; indeed many of our own names hold abstract or spiritual concepts in them. This also does not mean that the name was not chosen for dramatic effect, either during Christ's life, after Christ's life, or as a literary construct for a character that was called Christ.
