I love how people say, "people think that the world is 4.55 billion years old because professors tell them that it is" as if the claims aren't justified. Just because someone says the earth is that old doesn't make it true. Carry this over to religion. Now, look at the evidence, and you will see which one holds up. My hint: the people that study this stuff for a living make more accurate predictions than the people looking for evidence to fit the age to a number rather than fitting a number to the age.
