Quest For Glory 4 > all Sierra games. 4 for Sierra's characters with no sense of self-preservation or logic. Man the deaths got ridiculous in those games. Real men played LucasArts Adventure games.

I agree with you, actually. The SCI0 games (KQ4, SQ3, PQ2) all have a kind of dark edge to them that I've always liked.

King's Quest V was pretty good, yeah. Where else could you pie a yeti in the face? And it looks like KQ9 is shut down... the official site's off the map. Dammit Sierra... *sigh*
