actually i had my sites come back from abyss back to up and comming. Also you hsould mention that after it goes to abyss, the score gradually decreases at a slaow rate until it evens out at about 3.4 or 3.2, depending on the initial score

Yeah, yeah, sites aren't automatically always killed the second they leave the front page, and sometimes you can get back on the U&C after leaving it, but once it leaves and stays off you'll have a hard time getting traffic. Unless you're one of the really well known YTMNDers or have something on a topic that gets searched for (read: fads)

So THAT'S why my site got off U&C...over 200 votes! It got to 1,??? and then it disappeared off U&C and went to Highest Rated #3, then was quickly off and put on Top Voted, and EVEN AFTER ALL THAT, its never seen again...

That sounds about right... I've lost count of how many times I've been screwed over by a single downvoter, or worse, a downvoting bot that someone set up to say "you fail, please try again ^_^" or "FREE PENIS ENLARGEMENT" or "Urine is yellow, not white" over and over for every single site indiscriminately...
