I,m sure that most ytmnd users will agree when I say this: You can put ads anywhere on ytmnd without taking away from the greatness of the site, exept, of corse, on the ytmnds themselves. PLEASE do not put ads on the ytmnds. Any where else is fine. pop-ups are fine too.

The total on the frontpage is alternating between the 5 ytmnds with the highest donation totals, and the 5 ytmnds with the highest donation total over the past 2 days (or something close to that). Some of the earlier donations are now 'expiring' from the 48 hour total which is why it seems to be fluctuating.

for those of u who do not understand the $$ counter I will explain. Say I randomly make a site and donate $15 to sponsor it, it then gets on the sponsored ytmnd's. The next day, while the site is still on sponsored ytmnds, john smith comes and decides to sponsor an additional $15 to the ytmnd thus making it $30. On the main page it will say the page received $30 in donations. The next day, my first $15 donation is no longer counted
The money hasn't been lost, but this is to keep sites that arre sponsored, not on the sponsored site list for too long. Now the site is down to $15 again, the next day or so it will drop down to $0. In the end all $30 was received but it won't show up as if $30 was donated unless u go and look at every singl e donation on the site profile.
1) agree with mrgrim's idea. charge a small monthly fee, it could be as little as $0.25/mo per account. it would weed out the 11 year olds, and pay your bills. 2) sell t-shirts. seems retarded that you would whine about your bills and yet you're not selling the t-shirts that everyone is begging for. 3) allow only mp3 on the sites, not wav. cut bandwidth by 90%. 4) ...those 3 simple ideas took me less than a minute. stop whining and actually spend some time thinking of how to make yr website profitable.
