Half-Life owns Halo, it's as simple as that.

well i enjoy consoles just as much as pc games, but the worst part about halo is its scrub friendly. Theyve leveled the multiplayer playing field to give the casual scrub a chance. A full AR clip to the leg will do as much to the face. But the auto aim it institutes will keep ur cursor on the head no problem. In single player MC has got to be the most stale character ever. Half Life>Halo. Always and forever.
Huh... here's the deal. HL2 goes in depth with the story and took a LOT of time to make. The story is main to the game. Rather, Halo 2 is a more based multiplayer game aimed for people who want action... not to think. People who play hl2 want a different kind of fun.. to challenge the mind. Halo 2 allows for the action portion of the brain... therefore fun. All perception.
MC could take on Freeman any day, even when sleepy. MC could even take on Chuck Norris ("blasphemy!"). It wouldn't surprise me if MC was Chuck Norris' long lost brother. However, Half life and Halo are both good games. Oh, and in Halo 1, MC didn't get any reinforcements through the last half of the game. Also, the difference in technology is enormous (500 years), so it's only logical to say that MC kills Freeman. But that doesn't take away my love for half-life.
I have played and love Half-Life, but the replayability isn't the same. I know a level from the inside out when I play it twice. I'm more interested in direct battlefield situations and sneaking past floods with my active camo (mwehehehe). It's a matter of taste, it always is. People whine about this game is better or that game is better. I just want to let people know that there is no "best game". Only bad, ok games, and good ones. And unless Halo was a ripoff off of Half-life in gameplay concept...
I read all of the Halo books and I can tell you I like Halo's story more than Half Life 2's story. Halo 2 sucks. I hate Halo 2. Half Life 2 is better than Halo 2, but not Halo 1. A game doesn't need awesome graphics to be good. I can think of lots of games that have good graphics that suck. Half Life 2 was very long and drug out. I'm not saying I didn't like Half life 2, I liked it alot, but not something I would play through again since it was so long. I hate Halo 2 though. I hope Halo 3 is better.
