I understand something like this has been done before, but it was very gimmicky and the stepcharts were total trash. (As they were randomly generated.) Please try out this version, of what YTMNDDR SHOULD have been.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
there will only be one ytmnd soundtrack
July 29th, 2006
(0)
hope there arent many repeats from the last one
July 29th, 2006

Steakman are you f*cking retarded? This isn't the soundtrack.. it's the soundtrack MADE for stepmania.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
This is made with 100% pure win.
July 29th, 2006

I'm not a DDR player, so I wont vote. But make the intro to it shorter. I just hate when people use too long intros. A second will work.
July 29th, 2006

Awesome, gonna download now I hope they're good.
July 29th, 2006

Neat idea

They're good... we spent weeks making this.

I found the last one to be an excelent piece of work. I got addicted to stepmania because of it. You seem pretty sure of yourself that this is better, though I can't say I like your tone. I'll look into it.

much better than the other one.
July 29th, 2006

is it just me or are they all insanely hard... or do i just fail at ddr?
July 29th, 2006

Music is awesome ^^
July 29th, 2006
(0)
i have the first one. i hope this one is synced a little better.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
well.. i greatly enjoyed the last step pack while some of the songs sucked, this on is pretty damn lame, i dunno who the f*ck put these step files together, its a little insane. I can't imagine using this with a real ddr mat.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Oh and we're making another pack of this, since there's so many damn songs. But you'll have to wait a few more weeks for it.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
changed to a 2... i cant keep up.. and it doesnt seem to be me anymore :/
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Ok yeah, I just played and I haven't touched stepmania in a very long time, but you would have to be an expert for most of these songs to do well, I can't even pass any of them EXCEPT Simple Plan on standard. You're not gonna win any awards for most people on this website, for those who have never played Stepmania or DDR, they're gonna think you're on crack. Add easier difficulties and you get a 5.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Well see.. this we intended for already SM players. YTMNDDR is for people who are new to SM, have no skill at it, and need it easier.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
er just me
July 29th, 2006
(0)
iSmell-Like-Windex: I have no sites. Haha! Dissapointed? ....... Okay, I played this. Not fun. I agree with ethan. How exactly is this supposed to be fun? You can't complete any of them. At all. I don't even think this is professionally made, cause then you would've done something else then just flod the songs with arrows.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
could you please make some easeir ones for people like me when u do the next batch?
July 29th, 2006
(0)
I played lotta dance games awhile ago, and I can vouch for them and say these are made really well... but they are insanely hard for the normal person. Good effort, but for most of us this is a little insane.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
you fail, please try again ^_^
July 29th, 2006
(0)
500 stars for someone who could make YTMND songs into a DDR/ITG dance pack. Seriously. Can't wait to try this.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
PEOPLE PEOPLE!! Don't f*cking downvote this becuase you suck at SM. A SMART person would get better, enjoy the pack, and be happy.. instead of bitch about it.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
yeah, I thought the earlier step thing was pretty crappy. I'll try this out and you'll get a five if I like it.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Some tips for you people, use faster arrow mods if you want to be able to play these easilier! Also, all these songs are 100% passable, most people i've been playing them with on Stepmania Online have been doing great..
July 29th, 2006
(0)
OMFG winning pack.. Nice pack idea for SMO, i'm gonna enjoy this a ton.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
I'm not great at DDR, but I'm fivnig this for the idea alone.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Kay so All you downvoters, what is your problem, you're complaining that half these songs arn't good enough, are to hard, blah blah blah, honestly.. If you were any good at SM, Then you wouldn't have any problems. Suck it up and get better. And if you dont happent to like how fast, how hard they are, Deal with it or get better. Half the songs out there are as hard or harder then this stuff. You're probably all doing Ddr crap. The music is amazing, And the steps are just as well. g/j ^-^
July 29th, 2006
(0)
who the f*ck puts mines in their stepfiles? 1'd
July 29th, 2006
(0)
The problem is not that they are 'hard'. That would be fine, and okay with me. The problem I have with the songs is when they're 'impossible'. When the song breaks out in a barrage of arrows, which you have no possible way of getting, as they don't follow the rythm of the song, and they just seem to be thrown in randomly. Hard, perhaps, but pointless. It doesn't add anything to the songs. Some of the songs actually had good intros and such, but when they break out in mega-arrow-mania, they simply arn't fun.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
the main thing that ruins it for me is all the doubles randomly thrown in on the 16th runs
July 29th, 2006
(0)
I'm reserving judgment.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
This is trash, only option for heavy. That is f*cking stupid. You can go f*ck yourself.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
the sheer mechanics of the arrows are mindbogling, you need to have like 8 feet :P, so i can rate this high sorry...
July 29th, 2006
(0)
can't*
July 29th, 2006
(0)
yeah, I agree with Fieron. I was all o.O when I played Take On Me, and it wanted me to press all four keys at the same time, rapidly after each otherr. WTF? Oh, and I was just able to complete running in the 90'ies and we interupt this program, the later of which I got a C. Go me. :P
July 29th, 2006
(0)
I had to turn fail off. I suck...
July 29th, 2006
(0)
I would like to see somebody legitimately complete Fury of the Storm on a keyboard.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
There are so many things to dislike about this set. It is nigh impossible, there are no difficulty settings, the songs are too long, it's badly packaged for distribution, and the edits are amateurish at best, animation is 279 single-frame GIF files
July 29th, 2006
(0)
There are no special announcer packs, and I am willing to bet the developers play with their fingers. If you make a video of someone getting AAA score on one of these songs on Heavy Mode, I will sponsor this site. In the mean time, 2'd for effort and fandom, but please don't waste my time like this again
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Also needs more cowbell
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Actually, I would prefer seeing Fury of the Storm beaten with a dance pad. That would be a hoot.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Idiot liar. Most of the songs are 10+ footer...
July 29th, 2006
(0)
+2 for the songs though
July 29th, 2006
(0)
Downing this to a 2...now that I actually played this. I consider myself above-average at ITG, and really good at DDR, and this is just stupid. Who was the wolf guy? All his songs are JUMPJUMPJUMP...there is no way this is for people on pads...which is what I got it for. Professional? No. Professional would be including all difficulties. For God's sake, punching the keys isn't fun!! YTMND should have songs that are FUN to dance to, not insane / impossible.
July 29th, 2006
(0)
This isn't mine, but this is what this pack was designed for: hardcorestepmania.ytmnd.com, (Not real dancing)
July 29th, 2006
(0)
I wanted to like this. I really did. I've never heard of stepmania until now, I downloaded it, I download the pack, I get into it... and I fail every one of them 10 seconds in after I get pummeled by a barrage of insane arrows. Please. Make easier ones for the novices like me. I REALLY want to like this. It's just no fun getting killed if you aren't Mr. super-ddr-pro-extreme
July 29th, 2006
(0)
I know you made this for the little niche of pro DDR geeks, but the other 99% of us might want to get into it too, there's just no entry level starting point. And don't just say "get better". You get better by playing easy levels, not failing at insane ones
July 30th, 2006
(0)
good idea and all but to f*cking hard and im possable to play on a pad. if you make a set on at lest standard id give you a 5
July 30th, 2006
(0)
i played it. it was horrible. it made me feel like i failed at life. next time, make it easy.
July 30th, 2006
(0)
Woot. *made 4 songs on it*
July 30th, 2006
(0)
Oh, and I agree the steps should've been made for the pad, but Dog_E wanted keyboard-specific steps. *shrug* Oh well.
July 30th, 2006
(0)
I gave you a three at first, assuming the pack was going to be worthwhile playing. This is just garbage. You've basically taken any and every YTMND and hardcore danced on the keyboard. These aren't fun, they're hardly challenging, and I would rather play PIU.
July 30th, 2006
(0)
Here's a temporary fix for the 99% of the YTMND community that wants to play the songs on pad, but don't have the stamina for it, use the LITTLE arrow option. Do your own dance.
July 30th, 2006
(0)
FFS if you don't want to hit the arrows 3+4 at once turn off HANDS.
July 30th, 2006
(0)
What's with the loop error that crashes the game at the beginning of feel good inc?
July 30th, 2006
(0)
This is an incredible idea, except for the fact that 90% of the songs included in here are IMPOSSIBLE TO PASS. Literally just thousands of steps thrown at you and no way an average mortal could ever hope to get any enjoyment out of this. I passed all of the lower end songs in there and found it a blast. However I strongly urge the creators to put some lesser difficulties in there as well. 1/10000 people can do a 14 Foot song...
July 30th, 2006
(0)
Well Dog-E made a ton of them so that's why they're like.. impossible.
July 31st, 2006
(0)
Right. I'm gonna make a bunch of paddable steps to these songs and re-release it, if Dog_E allows me to use his graphics.
July 31st, 2006
(0)
I made the StepMania steps for Heut' Ist Mein Tag and Untitled(emo anthem) in this download. The pack came out very well.
August 1st, 2006

Talk about thinking you have balls. You know, any of you could have contacted anyone on the YTMNDDR project to say "O HAY WANT SUM HELP"? Instead, you go for fame and glory yourself. P.S. "Gimmicky"? This is YTMND, 98% of this site is a gimmick.
August 1st, 2006
(0)
I'll give you the five for doing the work, but more than half those songs are 10foot or harder with and they don't have easier easy or standard modes. any song over 9foot almost always garantees that you can't play the song with out 4 feet. next time try making song that are fair to play
August 1st, 2006
(0)
Since I have apparently missed the point, I will give you a couple extra stars. 4'd for effort.
August 1st, 2006

Picture. Sound. Text. A singular focus, not some f*ggy short film.
August 1st, 2006

YEAAAAAAAAAAAH! I'VE BEEN WAITING! For the past month or so, after listening to all the YTMND soundtracks... I though. "DANG! This would be perfect for Stepmainia!!" AND HERE IT IS! Thank you so much man! :,)
August 1st, 2006
(0)
Okay, I consider myself not too bad at Stepmania. With a little practice, I can AA about any 9 footer. But these are ridiculous. Stop being full of yourself and make a standard play at 7 or 8 feet. Also if you play with one hand like I do your screwed no matter what.
August 1st, 2006
(0)
This has the exact opposite problem of the ytmnddr pack. Those were so easy they were awful, and these are so hard they're impossible. If I were any good at Stepmania I would love it though. 4'd for the concept, please make the next ones have a setting where the rest of us won't die.
August 2nd, 2006
(0)
f*cking yes.
August 3rd, 2006
(0)
w00t. ATTN everyone who is 1-starring because the songs are too hard: blame the people that made the stepcharts, not the person who made the pack.
August 3rd, 2006
(0)
The person who made the pack DID make many of the step charts. DURRRRRRRRRR??? I get better at the few songs I can do every day (NEDM, Cake Song, Running in the 90s, Feel Good Inc). The step charts are really well done, almost all the steps on right on a background beat or tone. However, all other songs besides this are simply too hard for me and I hate it. Again I request that you create some lesser difficulties for us humans.
August 4th, 2006
(0)
Excellent, excellent idea. Tons of effort put into this, I can tell. Unfortunately, since I have NOT been prone to multi-legged mutations, I could not complete many of the songs...Having stepcharts like this (which truly define 'heavy') are fine, but having a light version would be fiveulous.
August 5th, 2006
(0)
Most of the songs has really bad timing.
August 5th, 2006
(0)
Music = wow.
August 6th, 2006
(0)
It's a keyboard pack; they're supposed to be hard. I only made one (Speedy Speed Boy), but it _does_ have pad steps. I can AA the standard and B the heavy on the pad. The oni is for the keyboard only. Most of the songs are strictly for the keyboard, so don't judge it in relation to how you play on the pad.
August 7th, 2006
(0)
What are you trying to prove???? that your songs are the toughest? stfu already I bet none of your stupid team can even beat one of the songs. you phail sh*thead
August 8th, 2006
(0)
Wow, i guess lots of people had to say lots of things about your YTMND pack for Stepmania.....but as for me, I just want to say that I tip my hat to you sir, these songs are great, the steps are nicely syced, and the pictures are awesome (except the Hardware Store one, that throws me off a little)

did i 5 it yet, my CPU is tardin' out
August 9th, 2006
(0)
When looking at the songs in the jukebox they DO make sense, but I'm thinking of actually making a light and standard version that don't put in a step for EVERY LITTLE NOTE PLAYED, I just hope i can acutally do this...
August 9th, 2006
(0)
BTW I'm talking about the songs that only have a HEAVY mode, like OWA and Moskau
August 9th, 2006
(0)
Sorry for trip-comment, but i'd also like to comment that my keyboard dosn't allow me to press all FOUR directions at once, just FYI
August 12th, 2006
(0)
These are quite possibly the worst StepMania songs ever made. It's a shame on YTMND. Looks like the search for good YTMND StepMania steps continues.
August 13th, 2006
(0)
"What are you trying to prove???? that your songs are the toughest? stfu already I bet none of your stupid team can even beat one of the songs. you phail sh*thead" LOL I can AA all of them without barely trying. (Except for the cake song on edit) I'll play you on SMO sometime. My nick is no_one_2000.
August 16th, 2006
(0)
lol only way to pass these is to memorize every f*cking pattern, wtf? I dont have the time to sit here and do that. Also, how am I supposed to hit all 4 keys at once when it only lets me do 2 at a time? my current method of randomly hitting sh*t isnt working too well :(
August 18th, 2006
(0)
"I understand something like this has been done before, but it was very gimmicky and the stepcharts were total trash." = The pot calling the kettle black. There are arrows for notes that don't even exist in the actual song. The songs switch from patterns for no apparent reason. A couple of the songs throw arrows out there BEFORE THE SONG HAS EVEN BEGUN. YTMNDDR was trash, but this is just a spit in the face to YTMND. If anything, both this and YTMNDDR are perfect examples of places StepMania should never go
August 18th, 2006

Just got done playing the pack online with you. Very nice. 5'd. Don't kill me.
August 20th, 2006

Your stepcharts sucked so much ass, Dog-E.
August 29th, 2006
(0)
The last one stoled mah stepchartz for ebaums world dot com... :( hope this one is different...
September 2nd, 2006
(0)
Definitly more professional, but Jesus f*cking Christ. I mean, can't you add at least one level lower on some of them? Plus, I don't play with four fingers so :|..... Ya. But to defend this ytmnd, the steps aren't really thrown in there. It's just the steps will apply to EVERY instruments and how fast they play. Not just a general beat it makes... Either that, or the extra steps do seem to synch in with the beat. It's hard to explain :(. Just turn on the assist ticker to see what I mean.
September 2nd, 2006
(0)
Oh and, for some beats that would usually seem easy have air steps so it makes it more difficult :|... I still would like to see at least one lower level for people that can play heavy...but not THAT heavy :|
September 2nd, 2006
(0)
Not fun at all, make easier difficulties.
September 4th, 2006
(0)
+5 for the effort, -1 because the difficulty is too high, and -2 for 180+ MB download from an IP address (Filefront didn't direct me to a domain, they sent me to some IP address... is that normal?)
September 8th, 2006
(0)
this would be better if there were levels of difficulty instead of hard and impossible.
October 5th, 2006
(0)
First off... THIS IS INTENDED FOR MORE ADVANCED PLAYERS. HENCE THE OUTRAGEOUS RATING. And I can pass Fury of the Storm. :P Keyboard files such as these are intended for Beatmania, instead of more DDR-like purposes. Also... Dowloading now. Will recomment if I like.
October 19th, 2006

Nice pack. Some of the songs were offbeat. But, I still like it.

lol Dog-E i downloaded stepmania and i have done this before just had to restart computer and delete all files but ya i did it i downloaded stepmania and the songpack but when i go to the stepmania song folder it isnt the same as how it used to look and when i put the ytmnd file into it it doesnt do anything when i open stepmania
January 14th, 2007
(0)
This is total sh*t. One difficulty level, and even with that the songs are hugely impossible. This wasn't even a serious effort. Just some lame bullsh*t joke.

Last package got me into stepmania, hope this one is half way good.
