Bush Lover.... Interesting note: It is usually conservatives who want to maintain the old ways, making them dinosaurs while the "liberals" are for new ideas.

It's a shame that has absolutely nothing to do with the point at hand.

Congratulations on understanding the definition of "Conservative", too. The differences you addressed are necessary on both sides, it's what makes the two party system work. The problem is when political parties start to commit treason in order to discount the government in office.

The two party system is failing because the conservatives are no longer conservative, nor do they represent their constituents beliefs. Hence why this administration has been such a failure. By the way, you should really look into the long term consequences of Bush's actions. Check out "Failed States" by Noam Chomsky.

I'd rather not read Noam Chomsky, nor would I like to turn YTMND into a political debate forum. You accuse conservative of misrepresenting, but they somehow manaage to hold the majority quite easily. Liberals have gone far too left, and it's starting to have consequences becuase any democrat now has a hard time because of their reputation.

The republican party used to be about state's rights and lower federal spending, which I'm for. I'm however not for the Jesus party. Real issues have taken a back seat to partisan bickering and evangelism. I don't remember there being a "liberal media" when all of the news outlets jumped on Clinton about the blow job.

Forgive the apostrophe in "states".
