How to Stop eBaums

Edit:It has come to my attention that the watermark idea is bull-puckey, but the Flash idea is solid gold! So go with that!

rofl @ "that image was stolen from newgrounds! it says so right in the image." eBaum's does remove watermarks. And I hope they're crying every time they do it. But instead they're probably fanning themselves with stolen money. Worth noting that Flash .swf's can be decompiled sometimes and put back into .fla. The simplest advice would just be "host it somewhere public, and never accept any money from Bauman for any reason."
Simple. You should put a watermark on your picture in such a way that it is extra obvious that they stole your stuff and placed their own mark on it. For example, put in several watermarks or put in one bigger than ebaumsworld's normal one, or both. When ebaumsworld steals, they will have to place their own mark on top of the original mark. It will look so much more suspicious in court :)
dannyaq: You've never even looked at either US or international copyright laws, have you? Look-up "Fair use", for starters. The Lohan image falls under "Satire", and is thus fair use. Further, as an original work it is copyright of the person who created it. Most of YTMND is actually protected by provisions of copyright law. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode17/usc_sup_01_17.html
I thought of what i thought was a good idea, planting an encrypted watermark in the hex (so the image wouldnt be altered but if opened the message could be found and decrypted) but it turns out unless thats in a bit that screws up the picture completely then it just gets overwritten if the file is changed at all :(
I'm 5'ing this cuz the heart's in the right place. I can remove the watermark from any gif. I don't have the know-how to decompile flash though, but apparently it can be done. Personally I'd get a free website and put links in the flash menu in the beginning, and have the list of "sites this can be viewed on" on that website.
"...MewtwoStruckBack, that sentence has just opened a Pandora's Box for you
from which there is no waking." I've been praising eBaum in my comments here for some time, why would this one particular comment be any different? "it won't work. they'll still steal it and your case over a 2 simple minute
flash animation will never go to court." QUOTED FOR THE f*ckING TRUTH.
I already have a negative reputation here and don't care. I'm like inkdrinker with less 1's but more eBaum love. And yes, I know this is one of many techniques that can be used to catch thieves. But as long as there's a way around it, he'll keep jacking stuff. He OBVIOUSLY checks this site, so if someone puts up a new way to stop him, he'll immediately get to work on a counter.
why is everyone getting mad about this ebaums world site...I go there all the time and watch funny videos...I mean its not like there are many sites as well put together as his you have to admit, even if not every little thing on there is original, some fat nerd is going to cry no matter what you do so wah wah cry it up f*gs
