the powerpad, which i still have and it still works, is the "gateway drug" for videogames. i bought TWO DDR pads for me and my wife, Sega bass fishing and a reel, multitaps for systems, etc. thanks for reminding me about it. i may have to play it today.

Years back I convinced my cousin I had a powerpad installed in the floor and he had to run in place to gain speed in F-Zero. Good memories. :)

I C "PUT SHOE ON HEAD" THAR AT TEH EDN. Okay, the audio was nice and all, and we all appreciate a good reminescence of our earlier gaming years, but I'm sure there's better. Super Scope owns. Oh, and PLANE CAMPER!

For the Horde? No, better make it FOR THE OVERMIND! But Alex Kidd was awesome. Can't go wrong with killer games of Rock Paper Scissors.

fave'd because i stomped the sh*t out of the powerpad.

what, no Robbie Robot? Nice nostalgic look at the golden age gaming, back before you could play games online and get insulted by Korean five-year-olds.

Holy crap, I remember Golgo 13, but the only thing I recall at the moment was that little dwarf guy coming out and giggling a lot.

Well you ask what happened to big hardware... simply put, there's even MORE of it these days. Steel Batallion, Guitar Hero, DDR along with a bajillion other Bemani games (Drum/Guitar Freaks/IIDX), etc. The big hardware is still around... light guns still exist too.

I remember going to Cherry's apartment in Golgo 13. Oh how I beat off to that when I was like 8.

I guess youre just not old enough but those are the true old school for home gaming. Hell...even before that was the pong unit you could buy for a tv....god im old.
