Cool! 2 things tho. (1) a guy last week posted 6 Metropolis sites with King Missle music, all in the same day. 3 got on the Top15 at once and he made people angry. So expect to take that out on this site.

Considering that Metropolis and German Expressionism in general were ancestors of the industrial genre of music, this is a truly artful piece. Fritz Lang would have been proud.

It was a late 1920's film that depicted the creation of an Android designed to be a perfect mimic of a real human woman. The film is absolutely wonderful and gives an idea of what they thought the future would be like back then.

It also highlighted the de-humanisation of the labour force, implicated widening social divisions etc etc. All relevant stuff for today. If you can get past the fact that it's an old silent film it's extremely well done.

Has anyone here seen the Georgio Moroder re-release version of this? He gave it a new original sountrack, with modern artists(1987)like Queen, ect. restored previously lost scenes. Tinted it. It was... interesting. Although it made some purists angry.

Mattress, I ripped this same scene from the remasterd DVD. It's alot brighter & sharper, and the file is quite a bit smaller. If you like it you may use it.
