4d block (time version)
Some of you seem to think the fourth dimension is time, so I made a representation of this as well.

Well, I am one of those people that always thought the fourth dimension was time...

how does it have 2 do with time? its just lines moving through a cube tat appears & dissapears tat has to do wit nothing.

Ok, Ok I FINALLY get it. There are 11 spatial dimensions and 1 temporal dimension. All naming of dimensions (e.g. 'first' dimension, 'second', etc. is ARBITRARY.) So time can't be the 'fourth' because there is no order to them and the 'fourth' would have to be a spatial dimension, not a temporal. Right...?

I'm 5ing this just so some one doesn't prove i'm dumb by 1ing it.

That's gaytarded, and not a hypercube.

um... time isn't a dimension; it is at most half a dimension. a dimension implies comparability, which time doesn't have (i.e. you can't go back in time). So... 3.

lol sms. Your typing just makes you sound retarded. Don't even try to think about it. Go cry and play some sports.

Time is a dimension; it just enters the metric with the opposite sign as a spatial dimension.

Correct. And no image could render the 5th dimension, propability. See my comment on the first site.

That's complete bs. What do the green lines represent, time? If the green lines are time; which makes them essentially timeless, what aligns the timeless time in time?

Rather, time is the correlation between space and velocity, which is influenced by the dimensions around it.

I blame public school. the W axis is time. The green line is the cube blinking in and out (hence a dotted line). Jesus christ.

Now do a hypercube through time to screw with the 'there is no 5th dimension' guys.

time can not be represented visually on a graph, only numerically. phail

Stop making these until you understand it idiot. You seriously saw a reasonable visual representation somewhere of more than 3 dimensions, and then made this based on that representation and f*cked it up. I get that each green line is a separate cube, but this representation is terrible. Failed again.

I think I understand. The little green lines represent where the block exists in time. When the green line runs out (at the top left corner of the block) it disapears until the line hits it again. Conservation of mass totally screws this up, but neat picture anyway.

Hey... I get it! When the green line disappears, so does the cube!

Sorry, but their is no possible way to present a 4th demension or even a 3rd demension on 2d screens.

this one doesn't illustrate it as well as your other ones (the original is the easiest to grasp)--but +5 for zombie rave. also, if you want to maximize the amount of explosion in their brains, show cross-sections along the diagonals of the hypercube, not just along the normals of of the faces. (you get more interesting shapes and people might smash their faces into little pieces.)
