Holy sh*t it's the moon you don't see that just by going to an astronomy website or something

Interesting. Also, I found Adverb's comment funny. I found it funny that he lists "astronomy website first", and not, oh, I don't know, OUTSIDE.

For whatever reason, this causes Quicktime 7.04 in Firefox to perform an illegal operation. So I'll just avoid voting this time.

this makes me happy for some reason. And it seems that adverb has missed the whole point of YTMND: give things a funny or new context. Using his logic you should just go rent Finding Forrester, because, hey, the website was made from the movie, so they ar

*e just the same. How about thinking about if what you're saying makes sense before posting some retard, snide bullsh*t, eh, Adverb?

Because the moon is spinning that fast if you look at it outside, right?
April 16th, 2006

Also, snickie, the original YTMND is ORIGINAL because it's the first time somebody did anything remotely like that. Try using logic instead of mob mentality

Woah, woah, woah. Don't include me in this little war. I just noticed something, man. Oh, and CubanSmuggler. It wasn't a joke. I just found it silly, so I made a statement.

I didn't mean to insult Adverb, too. Nothing personal, dude.

Stupid and boring. Broken sound doesn't help either.
April 16th, 2006

Okay, i'll add my opinion.. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because the visual was good, the clock is included to accompany the moon's movement, and the song fits pretty well. I know there were other moon sites, but they didn't achieve the same presen

1'd cause, from our point of view, the moon doesnt turn. It has a 33-day rotation, hence why noone (except in a shuttle) has ever seen the other side (the dark side) of the moon.

Usually downvoting doesn't cause so much animosity. It's generally a revenge downvote and it's over with. What's with all the lunar libration zealots?

4'd for Ramsis's comment, which made me laugh rather hard. On its own merits however, I'd probably only give this ytmnd a 2.

And wasp, the "dark side" of the moon changes depending on the position of the sun... that's how we get moon phases. I think you meant "far side" of the moon, which we never see from Earth. Even though different parts of the moon can be lit up at differ

This is great, entertaining and informative. The moon is slightly lopsided, with the more massive side pointed towards the earth at all times. Tidal drag slowly leeched angular momentum from the moon, and it has been locked in place like that for about 2
