It's the translucent YTMND corner GIF that makes mine chug. If I click on it to display the bar with the keywords and stuff, it speeds right up. I think it has something to do with that translucency and animated GIFs, as I can repeat this behavior for a

The bubble's stationery for the first few frames, then begins to move. It should really be moving a little in every frame. But it hardly makes this site any less than it is. Just a little glitch in the matrix. ;)
