Know Your Swastikas!
Created on: February 12th, 2006
Holy Christmas, people, I know the swastika is tilted at a 45-degree angle. You can stop reminding me of this now. I made this in MSPaint, where I couldn't rotate it like that. Stop bitching.

the swastika is a christian symbol... i learned this in confirmation, so i'm pretty sure it's accurate(someone else says it's a hindu symbol, and now i'm not sure). it makes sense that it's a christian symbol, seeing hitler's and the nazis' hatred for jews. but thanks for clearing it up; i always tried to remember if the lines were going clockwise or something... this is easier.
Angle means nothing; the 45 degree angle was used for most, but the banners had the 90 degree one with the upper L. Both instances were once indistinguishable as they were signs of luck, power, good fortune, etc to many ancient civilizations. Correct on Hitler stealing the left-facing one for that very purpose. He was very much into the occult and there are some really WEIRD things done for the sake of the Reich.
