^^^ture, but the issue of slavery was a very small, if not non-existant part of the war. Heck, lincoln himself stated that he had no intention of freeing the slaves, and supported white supremacy (look it up)

Well, the war wasn't about slavery. The war was about economics. The South had most of its wealth tied up in expensive slaves, and so the idea that all of their wealth would evaporate instantly did not appeal to them at all.

decided to read comments because its in favs but Lincoln never wanted White Supremacy, he just wanted to stop the expansion of slavery in his election of 1860 platform (which was the last straw which caused secession when he won), but during the midst of the what was supposed to be the "short" war, he wanted to make them suffer. He issued the Emancipation Proclimation after the victory at Antietam which said all slaves in CONFEDERATE territory shall be freed, not in Union Border States

Man, there are a lot of people with no sense of humor. Gotta love the south. Its interesting to note that since the Civil War many more southerners have fought in the military to preserve American freedom than northerners. They just have that much more patriotism and dedication to their country.
