I utterly fail to see how more kids being familiar with Ronald McDonald than Jesus is surprising. Ronald McDonald is an advertising symbol directed at children. Jesus is a religious figure. People aren't McDonaldsians or Burgerkingians, are they? But there are Christians and Islamics and Hindus. To be honest, when I was 5, I couldn't have told you what Vishnu looked like. Why? Because I'm not a member of that religion. I don't, however, have membership in a particular fast food. There's a difference
