i've done one of them too. i'm not saying the fad is inherently bad, i'm just saying too many people see high rated ones and think they can just pick ANYTHING, and not even present it well.

i look at vote histories for many who make mediocre 'stare' sites, and they too are 1'ing other 'stare' sites left and right... if 'this means you', i want you on board Team Creative. lets move YTMND forward together.

I support any YTMND that is creative in some way. Taking a hi-res picture and making it a "stares" site is not creative. I don't mind "dead horse" fads because even they are capable of producing some creativity.

Heh heh. There needs to be an official "guidelines" page with this and the picture, sound, text YTMND. I don't mind fads when they're clever, but variety and creativity are definitely needed.

my biggest pet peeve with ytmnd over the last while is that so very few bring new music/loops into ytmnd. sure you need certain ones for certain characters, but come on...

After a quick glance at the above comments I think its safe to say that everyone has their favorite and least favorite fads. My personal least favorites were Future Conan and the plethora of eBaums-related ones.
