1) "anime" literally means anything animated, although the colloquial meaning outside of Japan refers to Japanese animation.
2) The argument isn't specifically about Japanese animation, it's about drawings of human bodies in general.
I going into this YTMND perparing for a five, because Genshiken is awesome, but you totally f*cked this up. You didn't site the source, and you put the worst sound in the world. You should of tried using the sound from the converstion from the Dub instead.

Other than that, this is one funniest parts of the series. Poor, poor, Saki.
Proving that drawn images have merit as pornography doesn't prove that hentai is good pornography. The vast majority isn't, not because it's drawn, but for a number of other reasons. For example, why does almost all hentai have a rape or domination subtext? Why do all the females have horrible squealy voices? I understand that Japanese women have higher-pitched voices, but the noises those hentai chicks make while they're doing the nasty is *ridiculous*. It's like listening to a cat being beaten with
(cont.) a rubber hose. Also, perhaps I'm a little pickier about this sort of thing (being female), but I've often found that hentai artists have a poor sense of female anatomy. The bits are inaccurately drawn, and the methods depicted of stimulating those bits are equally poor. It's as though the people who draw or animate these things have never touched a woman in their lives. And they probably haven't.
Quick semi-logical rant:
I myself am a bit of a prude...conservative evangelical Christian and what have you. Not a big fan of porn be it real pics or animated (yar I think it's bad for society). But, for what it's worth, I think the explanation in the anime is great and I'm glad you posted it. People who take pride in themselves for only watching "real" porn and consider themselves higher than those who watch hentai are absolutely stupid.

The "real thing" is called SEXUAL INTERCOURSE. If you think it's well and good to indulge yourself in images of sex, what's the difference if the image is a photograph or a drawing? In my mind, there's not much. If it looks like sex, very good.
On the other hand, tentacle rape is totally out of line. Hands-down the worst idea Japan ever had (assuming they had the idea first).
