Sonic 2 Beta for the WIN! Now, why don't you do Hidden Palance, or maybe Wood Zone, etc..? Doing Neo Green Hill (yes, that's what it's called in Sonic 2 Beta) is a little lame.

By the way, in HPZ, if you put debug on, there are underwater places meant to go in HPZ, there you can drown, guess you forgot about that.
