Murdoc sure is a trademark for evil.
not just in MacGyver, but also in the movie Ernest Scared Stupid, that Mayor Murdoc has bad kids that bully other kids, and he fires Ernest from his Sanitation job when his kids are found in the back of a garbage truck. I think that movie was a parody of a MacGyver episode where MacGyver has to come up with "plan c" to get out of a moving garbage truck.
Also note that Murdoc Lake Road in Ontario which was a former segment of highway 69 had an "s curve" with bad crashes, which is why a new freeway was built to bypass that segment of road.
