don't think twice, it's all right

hey gang,
Quick update about contests: they seem. to be going well. Later today I'll finish off the contest listing page which shows the history of all the contests and the top few winners from each. It should be available at /contests/ by this afternoon.
There are a couple contests in the pipeline, next up is a sponsored contest by Razor Gator, followed by a YTMND t-shirt design contest. This time around we're actually going to print them!
Another quick note, I heard back from the company who makes the SDK we've been using to convert GIF to SWF and while they haven't fixed the 16000 frames issue yet, they are allotting some time to it later this week, and hopefully at that point we can proceed with the Flash stuff.
On a related note, some very exciting news from the Firefox 3.1 Beta; they've added native support for <audio> and <video> tags. This means as of Firefox 3.1, the browser will support the playing of WAV and OGG files with no external software. I've yet to test looping (because it isn't implemented yet), but I will be incredibly pleased if we can get native seamless looping of audio without Quicktime.
I'll go into some more detail about this in the YTMND Development Blog later this week.
