at least new to taking posting "seriously" as you said. if i were you i'd stay the f*ck out of the social aspect of this place. next thing you know you'll get 5s from all the same people no matter what you post, umfuld will hate you, and BloodyPython will send you PMs complaining about gr33nscr33n. you'll make a bunch of new facebook friends too and they'll constantly write "LOL" and "LULZ" on your wall, often mentioning crap memes from 4chan they think originated here as "fads"
