No. While I support any effort to promote foods of plant origin over those of animal origin, one nutrient that plant-based foods can provide that animal-based foods can't is fiber, and eating more bread won't provide that unless it's whole grain.

As a vegan, I take offense at that. We vegans have no sense of humor.

There is NOTHING humorous about being dead in the event that the world suddenly becomes post-apocalyptic and all the plants are dead and there's nothing to eat but animals.

There is also NOTHING humorous about a hypothetical situation in which everyone on earth became vegan and then the cows and pigs kept multiplying, unchecked, until there was so much methane in the atmosphere from all their flatulence that the greenhouse effect turned the earth into an uninhabitable oven.
