I thought about this, and wondered if that is truly the way the TNG issue uniforms were designed, it must be trouble putting them on in the morning. It's pretty difficult to zip up a zipper on your back. So how exactly would they get time on everyday if the Star Trek universe was real? Do they ask someone in the hallway to zip them up. It would be kind of embarrassing, especially since there was over 1,000 or so crew members on the Enterprise-D, it's impossible to know everyone personally.
