See it's not funny because you don't quite understand the science behind it. It's not Walken throwing a football far, it's him throwing it at escape velocity, which means the minimum speed of the football was approximately 11.2 km/s, and factoring in wind resistance, friction, and gravity, the initial velocity would be well over that, meaning that Walken could throw an object well over the speed of sound. Science is hilarious.
