nope, space isn't cold. you will lose heat, but slowly and only through radiating it. you're not touching many molecules so theres nothing to transfer heat to. The biggest problem about being unprotected in space is suffocating due to your lungs working in reverse (because of 0 pressure) and releasing oxygen from your blood into space.

Ice could potentially gather on the body in the upper layers of the atmoshpere. Oh, and if this were supposed to be truly realistic I'm sure that it wouldn't take 3 seconds to enter space, csartanis.

i want to make love to a small goat dressed up like a schoolgirl but wtf we flew into space and now goat-girl is like ice cubes and i'm wondering why my gay *ss suit is so tight.

What csartanis said. In addition, moving at that speed through our atmosphere would generate massive amounts of heat; she'd be a roasted marshmallow when she got into space.

csartanis' comment is a green light for gimmick downvoter dumbsh*ts to 1 the site, unfortunately.

Meh, the concept is accurate but the description is ignorant. The upper atmosphere would do that, yes, but as there is nothing for the heat to dissipate into in space, you won't become frozen until well after you've suffocated. The most immediate threat is if you made the mistake of trying to hold your breath, in which case your lungs will rupture.

Which would completely ruin the site.

"When you're exposed to vacuum, the air in your lungs is forced out through your mouth. After that, you should be able to make breathing motions normally, but there will of course be no air to breathe. You will not experience any exploding eyeballs or embolisms like you see in the movies, although you may experience the Bends (this is when your blood boils). You'll also feel the spit on your toungue and sweat on your body boil away. It's described as a fizzy feeling, like drinking soda."

Out of curiosity how does anyone know what it feels like?

Maybe he took a huge super-breath of oxygen before they flew up and was slowly releasing it for her to breathe out of his nose when they got out of the atmosphere. Use your comic book logic here.

Right... normal people can't breath in space... also it's sorta cold...

He's using his laser vision set to "low" to keep her warm. Also, he's squeezing her hard enough to keep the pressure from screwing her over.

He never takes her to space in that movie, but if he wanted to he could because he's Superman.

One of the Christopher Reeve movies has Lois Lane going into space, she just had trouble breathing. Was it Superman IV?

You know besides lack of oxygen/gravity most people think space is cozy. So its not a stretch to think Superman would fly her up there lol. Wonder if he would spin the world backwards again to undo his dumb *ss mistake.
