Wow, way to be a condescending ass. While I am annoyed by "people who are trying to find the truth (conspiracy whackjobs)", I just think the evidence for it being a conspiracy is stupid and impossibly complex. You seriously think the government was launching missiles, switching planes, making people disappear, hiding explosives, stealing gold, and there wasn't a single leak. And they're would've gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for those meddling kids.
TO PANACEAMEDIA: how dare you accuse the CIA of "sloppily" funding Osama bin Laden (documented, they did). If our government can't cover up a simple blow job, or a breaking and entering wiretap situation, how could we ever expect them to cover up THIS?! also "expertly" fly jumbo jets? that's not difficult at all. ALSO: they were funded by the Taliban, who gets their money from opium exports, which are then used to make heroin (if you haven't seen requiem for a dream, heroin has a pretty large market)...
if you watch controlled demolitions, they all occur at the base, from the bottom. NO, there were no controlled demolitions (which isn't to say there weren't explosions, dumbasses. YES, THE ONLY THING IN A LARGE OFFICE BUILDING THAT COULD EVER POSSIBLY EXPLODE IS A BOMB. NOTHING ELSE WILL EVER EXPLODE WHEN IGNITED, EVER.). Also, steel doesn't MELT until that temperature, retards. MELT means LIQUID. Steel loses around 75% of its structural integrity at the heat the planes were burning...
which makes it amazing that the towers stood as long as they did. there is no "just the right time"; any time is the time to fly a plane into a building. Just to let you know, i dabbled in this conspiracy as well, and it's full of unintelligent people. There are many different classifications of intelligence. One is placed on doing background research into claims that people are telling you and not following blindly (as you will claim most americans are doing [and many are, but i've looked this sh*t up]...

examine your claims and put them to the test, instead of you saying "Oh, it's okay, I've looked it up!" The only thing I know is that I know nothing. I have a yearning to learn more from nothing. So please, don't be such a little bitch next time you're interacting with human beings. Oh, and PS: "I'd love to see you find enough evidence that would back up the Government's story in a USA court of law." I'd like to see you find some evidence that truthfully and actually disproves their story.
If you'd feel safer in Jerusalem than in New York City from terrorism, then you can build a monument. If not, then you really need to get some perspective and realize that just because it happened to America doesn't mean it's the worst catastrophe in the history of the world. Starving to death is much worse than occasionally facing the loss of .0001% of your population due to terrorism. Move to Africa, leave your money, and see how safe you are when you worry about food more than terrorism.
So someone can shoot you in the head and when I go to your funeral, I'll say, "What's the big deal? There are people starving to death in Africa even now. This guy's murder is meaningless and you should all stop worrying about it." That's why liberals keep losing elections: they're becoming more and more outrageous and moronic as time goes by. A lot of you need to get off of YTMND and go set foot in the real world, talk to real people and get some damn perspective on real life. You don't know sh*t.
I'm pretty sure most of the users on this site were too young to understand what was going on... now I understand how my dad felt about the Cold War ending before I was old enough to remember... because y'all don't remember what life was like before the ZOMG PATREEEUTIZM. It really, really wasn't a big deal. People die all the f*cking time. Grow up and move on.
I think it's important not to forget anything that may remind us that every day could hold catastrophe for our lives. But I don't think most people have any idea what they're remembering it for. Maybe they think it's patriotric or that they're immortalizing the people who died. But if they didn't know the people who died by no means are they. This should be at least remembered as a tragedy among many tragedies in the world rather than selfishly as a national tragedy. We are not alone as victims.
It's fine to keep it as a day of rememberance- 9/11 was a big wake-up call for the U.S. It showed our generation that the United States is truly mortal. But look at the tragedies taking place in other parts in the world. There have been more terrorist suicide bombings in the countries like London and The Middle East than ever before in history. Why is our loss so much more important?
Pearl Harbor was an attack by a military on a military facility. 9/11 was an attack by some terrorist cowards on a civilian population. Big difference. Pearl Harbor teaches us that we can't take peace for granted. 9/11 teaches us that there are some insane *ssh*les out there who need to be beat down.
