I agree with the doing away of ads on YTMND, with the exception of Razor Gator or anything else as entertaining as Razor Gator.

You know, television wouldn't exist without ads. Think about it.

YTMND isn't television. Think about it.
August 12th, 2007

*Thinks about it* Hmmmm both are free. Both are entertaining. Both need money to continue to broadcast their programming. Not sure what you were going for here.

I'll give my own version. Sure both TV and YTMND are entertaining, and free, and yadda yadda, but the difference is that users here create the content. You can't do that on television, unless of course you're a producer or similar. A YTMND advertising a product might be a joke, but it's not an actual ad. No money will go to YTMND from it, it'll go to the other company if an user here decides to buy it. There's no need for such content. In fact, there's no need for ANY content. And that's the good thing.

You can create whatever the hell you want, as long as it abides by the terms and conditions. Thus, if an user created a YTMND advertising a burger, another user is more than allowed and welcomed to create another in reference to that site (Hey, isn't that the point of fads? Not saying this is a fad though), telling the other author to f*ck off. That's why we all love YTMND. If you want to see something, you can do it yourself.
