The ORIGINAL Futurama theme, all the way from 1967! (Matt Groening wanted this song, but couldn't clear the rights... which is why we ended up with a sound alike instead.) I just updated this site - the song is longer now, and less chopped up.

Although they do sound vaugely familiar, especially the bells, I prefer the one we have now. It has 96% more awesome.

The hack editing job on the song also doesn't help. The actual song sounds even more different from the Futurama theme. "Sure, you may THINK this is a page out of Exodus... BUT IF I TAKE THESE RANDOM LETTERS, taken from RANDOM spots from around the page, and arrange them completely out of order but in a certain fashion, it spells out 'SATAN IS RISING, LONG LIVE THE KKK.' Is this REALLY the message we want to send to our children??"

Would you be happier with the Fatboy Slim version, which sounds EXACTLY like the Futurama theme? The only reason I edited the song down was to show what the 1967 version would sound like as a TV theme.

It is pretty well known by any true Futurama fan Even my mother recognized it (and she didn't even watch Futurama)
