Let me preface this comment by saying that this comment contains my opinion on the piece that I have just witnessed. The words used may be figurative in places and should not be taken literally. With that said, this site ate a chocolate strawberry on its way to the market. You can obviously infer the consequences. Please step back as I placate.

Was that enough explanation of my comment, Omni? Or, do I now need to explain the literal meaning behind my figurative comment? "Realism should only be the means of expression of religious genius... or, at the other extreme, the artistic expressions of monkeys which are quite satisfied with mere imitation."

And don't confuse the "religious genius" with something like faith... it really would only relate to something like Spinoza's pantheism and his concept of adequate knowledge, which is diametrically opposed to faith.
