Actually. Rammstein is named from a small village called Ramstein, translated it means battering ram.

I lived in the town Landstuhl, near Ramstein, there is a large US Air Force base, but the Town it is based in is called Ramstein, which is why the base is named such. And the band is NOT named for that town, by the way.
