There's a much better way to make the animation. All you have to do is watch it, remember where all the pixels go and what color they are, and then draw it in paint. I don't know why you use the old school method, mine works so much better.

use some sofware such as FRAPs to record everything on your screen into a video file. Then use video editing software such as Adobe Premiere to edit everything down to exactly what you want the animation to look like. Export as an AVI, and then use something like JASC Animation Shop to convert it to GIF.
