The beginning is also a nod to Pizzicato Five, who used "A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular" as a recurring catchphrase throughout their albums, which was also the name of an album by Hooverphonic. One of P5's songs was used placed in a Futurama episode, which contained this phrase.
