Alternatively, get the lget extension for Firefox, view source and find the link to the sound, hit ctrl-E and download directly. But your method is informative nonetheless.

DownThemAll extension for Firefox works nicely for me. And for courtesy's sake, cut dude some slack for his spelling, one look at the German localization of his WinXP tells you he's probably ESL. Why his Firefox is the English version - that's more mysterious.
