Devolution in Scotland over the last few years has given you the Scottish Parliment, all of which has created more power for Scotland. It also means that the citizens of Scotland have more say than the English. As you can change English power and authority but English citizens cant change anything which goes up there. I'm English btw and correct me if I'm wrong on anything.
That953rdguy, true enough Holyrood has given us more power, but most of it can be overurled by the English such as them thinking about detroying our education system and legal system, not sure about how much say the English people get with the goverment down in london but I assume it is less as they have more to deal with
I doubt that the english will take any power soon what with that ridiculously overexpensive Scottish parliment HQ being made. And quite a few other things as well. Cheers for the reply too. I also want to point out to 'Goneja' that it has been the British army for 100's of years now, not just english.
There's a Scottish Parliament. English MPs can't vote on Scottish Bills. Scottish MPs CAN vote on English Bills.
Scotland recieves pound for pound more public services than England. It does NOT have a disproportionate economic impact on the UK's economy and it's current welfare system is heavily subsidised by England and Wales. Figures from the SNP are about as reliable as a plumber's estimate.
No one denies Scotland's contribution to the Union but to suggest that it's somehow getting a raw deal is
I'm glad this was made. I'm of Scotish decent and I've always been for an independent Scotland (even though I'm American and was born in America, I take great pride in being part-Scotish). I've never been a fan of the UK nor England for that matter. I'm all for Scotish Independence, but it probably won't happen due to the fact that not enough people want it.
