raged 5. there are lots of supposedly 'low level' ytmnders i'm proud to call friends. we question the voting habits of certain newer users, and if that makes us snobs in the eyes of some people, I can still sleep at night.

and for the record, I have always, always, and I'm not alone by any stretched, looked down at snarky users like you with no sites of their own. proud snob in that regard. sitemakers make ytmnd run. you're filler.

I thought the votes "make ytmnd run." If the votes of the masses are unimportant then why was the NARV ytmnd that I commented on created in the first place? Perhaps I am confusing the YTMND community with the YTMND website. Nevertheless, I did not agree with the anti-NARV mentality, hence my comment on State-of-minds site. What any of that had to do with how many sites I had created, I still have no idea.

You see YTMND the website and community as one inseparable thing. I see YTMND the website as an apparatus that anyone can use, and as more users come here the core community you spoke of will become more and more irrelevant. And with that I can sleep at night knowing your superior attitude towards me won't really matter in the end. Good night, sir. *end drama*

Here’s what I think: what makes YTMND is the users; otherwise, it would be just like everything else on the Internets. sh*t like ebaumsworld is a dime a dozen; all they do is show content that any other site can show. ebaumsworld works like a TV; all the viewer can do is receive. Not YTMND, man. The user-created content is the what makes it so great.

And with that comes the core users, the people who have started fads (like Inkdrinker), the people who hate fads (like Inkdrinker), the people who have over 200+ quality sites (like Mastersitsu), the people who have created new ways for the site to function (like Syncan). I really think that these people are the heart and soul of YTMND, and it would be best not to alienate them.

Granted, who am I to be saying all this? I only have six sites that aren’t popular, and don’t deserve to be. Well, I’d say I’m pretty close to an average user. I can’t really make great YTMNDs, but I can appreciate them. And I think that I can tell you that with more users, the core community in YTMND will become even more important.

I agree with you completely; the user-created content is what makes YTMND so great. Does that give users who have created more content the right to be pricks? Nah. It is precisely because anyone can create a site here that a select few cannot control the site. And that is a good thing.

I support this cause. Elitists suck ass.
