I remember watching this as a kid, and being introduced to amazing over the top violence. I rewound to watch the arm get hacked off about 10 times.

There was a deleted shot from Commando where Matrix uses the arm he hacked off and hits another soldier with it. But, it had to be edited out to get the R rating.
