During the Sino-Japanese War of the 1890s, the Giant Enemy Crab appeared once more, terrifying opponents. Strangely enough, as Watanabe depicts it, the crab seems to be "fighting for" the Japanese against Chinese soldiers. This is likely a touch of excess
