BTW if you don't get what makes them "exotic", I'm pretty sure it's implied that the color of their skin/fur makes them "exotic". That's blatantly racist, whether you think it's good or not. Steven Colbert doesn't see color because the point of ending racism is to make us colorblind, not to say "Black guys are so cool!" but to say "I see no difference between black and white."
Err, everything steven colbert says is satirical of the point of view he claims to be supporting. That is why he is so awesome. He'll say 'I don't see color' and then make it a point to say he has a black friend who has been downgraded to aquaintance. You see, he's satiring hypocrites (like the ones on national news networks).
