This is standard crap for universities and colleges to pull. They rack up the price on books just to make more money. What's worse is the profs (at least at my uni) aren't allowed to promote anything except the university book store. I found a Physics text online for 25 bucks when it was 150 in the book store. Oh, and the textbook companies make even more money by fixing three typos and swapping a few questions and calling it a new edition, forcing all the new students to buy new books instead of used.
