Coming back to the cartoons, i mean.. in history you find that states in clash with the islamic states would say things along the lines of "muhammad and the muhammadins worhsip their water god five times a day" , referring to the ablution we perform before prayer. Many people have depicted the prophet before in respectable ways, and also in outrageous offensive ways. These people aren't muslim so i cant really expect them not to depict him. These cartoons arent something new, throughout history many have depicted the prophet. By the by, if two countries are invaded and almost every sovereign entity in the middle east is regarded as a terrorist state or a terrorist supporter, and thats not ATLEAST seen as criticism, then wtf.
Actually, im talking about click's site. And the core belief i was referring to is muhammad's prophethood whereas this depiction shows him as a terrorist. Graphite, Only in that this isnt satirizing radicals or violent adherents, this is satirising one of the core beliefs of islam as a whole. In effect, this is a strong negative stereotype applying those said characteristics to all muslims, not only a select group. This is why a tone and tenor of hatred is expressed.
Groups of people who go and commit haenous acts dont represent entire populations of the world.
