"The Unfunny Truth" is a much more effective tool, but this movie could've been a very effective doc. Those orientation videos, and that video at the beginning - are those real? I got really excited and interested, watching that opening clip, but then the rest of the movie just focused on the black-and-white meanderings of the characters and focused on stuff most people already know about Scientology. It just didn't do it for me, really.
I'm upset that this movie is being censored by Scientology - that really just isn't right - but the movie didn't really blow me away. The characters and the plot were, sadly, somewhat predictable. "OMG... it's a BROOM CLOSET!!" eh. And the main character seemed totally naive and deeply disturbed about the Xenu info, which is understandable since she isn't OT3, but wouldn't she know SOMETHING about it? The movie's message I agree with, but at the same time it was presented in such a black-and-white way.
I really don't agree with it at all. You put some work into it, though.
Hypothetical question: If Christ had said that loving God and loving your neighbor, etc. sent you to hell for eternal damnation, and that killing people, breaking the Ten Commandments, commit whatever crime your mean little heart desires etc. sent you to Heaven... what would you do? Do what you feel is right even if you knew you'd be sent to hell, or kill and main to your heart's content just so you could get into heaven? Just curious

Don't totally agree with you - I still think your attitude is somewhat condescending - but I see where you're coming from and I forgive you or whatever.
