Therefore, if a slice of toast is strapped to a cat's back, buttered side up, and the animal is then dropped, the two opposing forces will cause it to hover, spinning inches above the ground.

It'll never cease to amaze me how fervently people will defend something they BELIEVE....when there is absolutely no proof for it. It's sad to see just how many stupidly ignorant people there are who don't understand or appreciate this tribute to Sagan. And they'll all be first to tell you you're wrong and never take criticism themselves. You should take Whet out--it'll clean it up and at least get rid of the stupid comments regarding that subject and let them get on to more important issues.
