Unfortunately not everyone on ytmnd is a web developer so they are forced to try and figure out what padding is. Technically though, the image in question is the background. So its all fucked.
Yeah. When you're working with file types that use color "indexing" like gifs you can selectively take out/change certain colors. Luckily the background had very bright colors and the dogs where white, brown, black, and gray. Another tool is the color select tool, but since I had so many layers to deal with, changing the color map yielded faster results.
