Foamingpanda cracks me up. I just imagine him being the pissed off retail worker whose boss is constantly watching over his shoulder to make sure he doesn't bitch out an unruly customer... so he goes home and bitches out people online instead. Man, there are some ridonkulous people on YTMND. If you think it's untasteful, simply say so, give it your honest vote, and let it go. You don't achieve much by going on...and on...and on...aside from giving yourself a big headache.

Seriously, compared to the rest of the site, this YTMND sucks. I did not laugh, I was not amazed, and I did not feel anything to make me think this YTMND had any redeeming qualities at all. If someone asked me what place this was on the site, I'd guess like #23409 or something. But #2? Just serves as a testament to how stupid the people on this site are.
If you voted 5 on this submission, explain honestly why this deserved a 5, because all I've seen so far is retarded explanations like "WIN LOL!!!11!1oneone!1!!11"
Pyro, the ytmnd takes a familiar and fond memory from a videogame that anyone relates to and transPLANTs it into a great scene of a movie. The fact that the piranha plants shot fire in the videogame, and do here, is what makes this so funny. It really is quite obvious, and you are making both of us look retarded by making me explain it.
It got five'd because:
1.) It's funny - 2.) It's smooth animation - 3.) I f*cking like it.
I'm sorry you decide that it's not worth your precious time, but it seems the majority of people rather enjoy it. So instead of bitching about how everyone's stupid for fiving this, maybe you should take into consideration the reasons why you're NOT. It's just a silly video game nostalgia, and even better is how it was done. That is why it's "the win".

Panda, lighten up there - you can't intimidate people over the interweb using "big words" and thinking that your baseless conniption fit warrants you the right to post repeatedly. The funniest thing about the "omfg panda, plz get life k thx" comments is the fact that writing a comment requires about two minutes, tops. I guess, by such sound and stoic logic, we can deduce that any site creator is some sort of paraplegic nerd with so many strange skin diseases that the CIA has quarantined him to a 6x6 room containing only a computer. As I’ve said before in this comment section, this is truly the finest hour for YTMND group think. Gaming Nostalgia + Motion =/ Quality, Wit, or Creativity.
And, for the last time, I hate to destroy your 15 year old conception of some sort of "Republic of Internet ‘Artists’," but site creation and site critique are two entirely different things. The idea that people might visit this site for a few good laughs is quite a foreign idea for many of you, but it is a harsh reality that many of you must eventually face. Painting with the beauty of Rembrandt or composing with the precision of Mozart are not perquisites for understanding and critiquing forms of art. Creating great sites does not enhance or degrade the quality of a users’ criticism.
The pure simplicity of this, and the great irony of it, makes it so appealing.
I could care less is drawn from a video game, the concept which is perfectly visualized and projected makes it worth 5*.
Don't worry about what people say to completely bring you down; 80% of those 4000+ people can't be wrong.

Also, I fived tppto.ytmnd.com because it's a simple concept. It combines two different cultural references in a way that is unexpected, which adds to gag value. The juxtaposition of the cheery SMB3 music with the carnage going on in the visual adds to the perceived absurdity of the scene. Finally, the scene is reasonably well executed technically; The animation is shopped competently, and the music loops properly, and is mixed with chaotic blowing-sh*t-up noises at an appropriate level.

Why don't you take your arguments and energy to some where more suitable, like the federal court of a appeals or the campaign trail. You obviously have talent for bludgeoning people with your opinion, why don't you just get involved in debate classes and become a lawyer. Besides, you'll make tons more money that way than trying to get your sites sponsored here through your use of wit, forceful language, and caps lock.

Foamingpanda make a top-5 ytmnd and then tell Angrydriver that his site is horrible. Ytmnd is supposed to be a democracy where the common vote decides the rating of a site. Could you create a site like this? No.There is few users that have true material to make good ytmnd's, Syncan, State-of-mind etc.And yet you talk about how this site is so awful. You could not see creative talent if it came up and bit you in your mother f*cking ass.Do you know how much work people pour into a good ytmnd? No. You've made your blunt point. Panda might as well be trying to give a detailed literary analysis on Beavis and Butthead, because this site is about on that same intellectual level in most cases. This site put a big smile on my face. Sometimes you just have to stop overanalyzing every little aspect of everything, else you find yourself becoming incredibly anal. Also: if you miss the so-called good ol' days, how might you consider a joke based upon a black man stealing a skinny white boxer's bike to be any more intellectually stimulating than a group of rogue piranha plants destroying the city?
