its not that christians invented persecution, its that they brought it to new levels unherd of before. Whole new sections of the roman gov. where established to investigate, dicover, and punnish herersy of anykind. it was kind of like the fbi of pagan, and heretic killing. it was so successful that more christians where killed for herecy in two years than where ever killed by pagans.
