I have supported some megatarded fads on YTMND. Cosby was cool. Cake was silly but fun. "Shoe on Head" was ridiculous, but funny in its own special way. NEDM, well, I never got into, but it was tolerable. This "war," however, against MySpace users who are just using the SAME image from another site that the YTMNDers used... it's a pointless bandwagon. It does nothing to help YTMND, and in fact it makes YTMND look "bad" because we're now the "aggressors."
I can't support a "war" with no purpose which does nothing but
give YTMND needlessly negative publicity. I honour YTMND for its support of artistry, its irreverant comedy, and sometimes for its outright weirdness... but I can't support this. This "war" only hurts YTMND, and it is something that makes me embarrassed to be a YTMND fan.
Bah, I say that we choose our battles wisely. Ebaums world is the only fight I support, because they're the ones really stealing content. So what if Myspace has a fad that uses the happy (NEDM) cat? It started here right? Last time I checked, that's not a crime. I've seen lots of YTMND hate across the internet... don't give the legitimate sites a hard time... all that will do is make more enemys.
Im gona be in the middle of this one.
PRO WAR:
It's not the fact that they took the picture, its the fact that they directly challenged us to war, and standing down to a bunch of emo's is just embarrasing, they wanted war, they've got it.
CON WAR:
Its never been YTMND's picture, and never will be, we cant claim its our picture so theres no point being idiots and going to another "war" just for the hell of it.
